Here's How the 'Roseanne' Revival Will Include Both Actresses Who Played Becky

ROSEANNE The "Roseanne" revival is bringing back both actresses who played Becky, but don't worry, it will all work out.

The role was originally filled by Lecy Goranson in Seasons 1-5, but then she and Sarah Chalke took turns playing the role in later years, alternating seasons for the sitcom's final four years. With Goranson playing Becky in the revival, though, Chalke was left without a part -- at least for a while. The show's producers didn't want to leave her out, so they found a way to make it work.

Chalke is taking on an entirely new role, as she explained during an interview with EW. She'll play a woman named Andrea who hires Becky to be her surrogate, causing a stir in the family. It's a "fun part to play," according to Chalke.

"I love the part!" she said.

Chalke was also excited about the revival in general, and she says it's "so funny" and has "unbelievable" writing. On top of that, she finds the timing perfect.

"I think it's exactly what is needed right now," she said. "Right now when the country is so divided, I really think it's a show that brings people together."

Well, if they can figure out how to include two Beckys, maybe we can all figure out how to work out our differences, too.

"Roseanne" premieres with an hour-long episode on March 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
