This Is the Most Badass Rancor Costume You'll Ever See

The Rancor from "Star Wars" was already an amazingly memorable beast, but now it's officially been immortalized in the "Next-Level Insane" tier of the Comic-Con cosplay canon. (It's a thing. Look it up.)

Effects artist Frank Ippolito pulled off an insanely detailed costume rendition of the carnivorous reptomammal based on references from an original test costume used for the "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" production team. What's more? The Tested team put together a vid to show you exactly how it was made. Fascinating stuff.
