Braga will play Dr. Cecilia Reyes, who'll act as a mentor to the young mutants played by Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy and Henry Zaga. Filming is set to start in July for an April 13, 2018 release date.

We're not sure why Dawson is off the project, but she is pretty darn busy. She's currently filming Netflix's "The Defenders," in which she reprises the role of "Night Nurse" Claire Temple she's played in "Daredevil" and "Iron Fist."

On the USA series "Queen of the South," Braga plays Teresa Mendoza, who rises from the barrio of Jalisco, Mexico to become the head of a powerful dug empire. The Brazilian-born Braga, the daughter of actress Sonia Braga, previously starred in "City of God," "I am Legend" and "Elysium."
