'America's Got Talent': Watch 'Amazing' Deaf Singer Earn Golden Buzzer From Simon Cowell

Even Simon Cowell got warm-and-fuzzy after this "America's Got Talent" audition, so don't go thinking you'll escape without the feels.

AGT Season 12 aired its second episode of auditions last night, with Cowell giving his Golden Buzzer pass to 29-year-old singer Mandy Harvey, who performed a beautiful original song called "Try."

Mandy revealed she lost her hearing at age 18. "I have a connective tissue disorder, so basically I got sick and my nerves deteriorated." She has been Deaf for more than 10 years, but she's been singing since she was 4 years old. She left music after she lost her hearing, but returned once she figured out techniques to continue. Mandy told the judges she wrote "Try" because, after she lost her hearing, she initially gave up. This is her vow to do more with her life than just "give up."

Watch Mandy's audition:Simon followed her performance by simply saying, "Mandy, I don't think you're going to need a translator for this..." He hit the buzzer, sending her to the live shows, then joined her on stage for a hug. He called her "incredible," saying her performance was "one of the most amazing things I've ever seen and heard."

She does have a lovely voice, and she plays well, too. Between Mandy here and "Dancing With the Stars" winner Nyle DiMarco, it's clear lack of hearing does not have to be an obstacle for singing, dancing, or really anything.

AGT continues Tuesday nights on NBC. Check out more auditions at the YouTube site. And, if you haven't seen it already, why not add to the hundreds of millions of views this 12-year-old singing ventriloquist has earned.
