Still upset about the fact that "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will be its shortest ever? Here's a consolation prize: Some of those eps will be extra-long.
According to HBO Now listings (as spotted by Watchers on the Wall), Episode 6 of Season 7 will clock in at 71 minutes and the finale will run an impressive 81 minutes. Since most eps are usually 55 minutes, that's about 30 percent more time for beheadings! But episode 4 will only be 50 minutes. HBO giveth and it taketh away.
Per TV Guide, the overall extra running time adds up to nearly eight episodes. So wow, one one whole extra episode!
"Game of Thrones" returns Sunday, July 16. We likely won't get the eighth and final season until 2019.
