'Batman vs. Superman' Rumor: Michael B. Jordan Up for Mystery Role?

Fresh off his official casting as Johnny Storm in the "Fantastic Four" reboot, actor Michael B. Jordan may have yet another superhero role up his sleeve: a small part in "Batman vs. Superman."

Latino Review reports that Jordan may be in the running for the unspecified role, which is set to be minimal in the "Man of Steel" sequel, but recur in later D.C. Comics films.

"According to sources, the production is currently looking for a black actor in his early 20s who is also physically fit," Latino Review writes, adding that they've heard Jordan has already met with director Zack Snyder about the part. The site points out that The Hollywood Reporter previously noted that Snyder doesn't cast a wide net when looking for stars, but "target[s] actors from a narrow shortlist of those they want."

If that's indeed the case, and Jordan has already met with the director, it would seem his involvement is a done deal. Still, Latino Review is the only site currently reporting the rumor -- and Jordan's already got a lot on his plate, thanks to his aforementioned "Fantastic Four" role -- so it's best to wait for some official word from the studio before jumping to conclusions.

That being said, Gamma Squad has a rundown of all the potential characters Jordan could be playing if he does indeed join "Batman vs. Superman." Take a look and decide for yourself if the red-hot actor sounds right for any of them.
