There's a lot of gold at the Oscars; now, there will be a little bit of Pink.
Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron announced that Grammy-winning singer Pink will make a special appearance at the 86th Annual Academy Awards on March 2.
"We are very excited to welcome Pink to the Oscar stage for the very first time," they said in a joint statement. "She is regarded as one of the greatest voices in pop music and one of the best performers of her generation, and we are thrilled to have her join us for a highly anticipated moment on the broadcast."
Pink, under her given name Alecia Moore, had a small role in last year's "Thanks For Sharing" opposite Gwyneth Paltrow and Mark Ruffalo.
The hugely successful singer has sold over 50 million albums and 95 million singles. She's won three Grammys and six MTV Video Music Awards, and was named Billboard's Woman of the Year in 2013.
In January, she gave a high-flying acrobatic at the Grammys. Let's see if she brings those theatrics to the Oscars!
