Here's the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Poster. You're Welcome. (PHOTO)

The Internet is seemingly abuzz with all things "Guardians of the Galaxy." And for good reason -- the trailer for the upcoming Marvel space odyssey, released earlier this well, is a wild, wonderfully zippy proof-of-concept that showcased the fact that it's okay to play up the comic element of comic book movies.

We'll have more exclusive goodies leading up to the movie's August release, but right now why don't you take a gander at the just-released poster (scroll down for the full version), which continues the irreverent good humor exhibited in the trailer.

The top of the poster features the typical Marvel copy -- "From the Studio That Brought You 'Iron Man,' 'The Avengers,' etc." The image of the Guardians below the text, comprised of Star Lord (Chris Pratt), a half-human/half-alien super thief; Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), a hulking brute with vengeance on his mind; Gamora (Zoe Saldana), a green-skinned assassin vixen; Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel), a sentient tree creature; and Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper), a hyper-intelligent killing machine (and also: a raccoon), is not the "lineup" image that has been floating around in various forms since the project has been announced. Instead, they're together, in a group. They might be a collection of lowlifes, losers, and scumbags, but they're together on their own accord. Which is saying something.

But the best part of the poster is beneath the title, which just says, "You're welcome." This is that wonderful little twist that "Guardians of the Galaxy" is going to provide, a smart-ass swagger to compete with all of the brooding heroes in the comic book universe. Oh man we cannot wait.

The film, which also stars Lee Pace, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close and Benicio del Toro, zaps into theaters across the cosmos on August 1. Get ready. It's going to be a kick-ass ride.
