Best of Late Night TV: Kerry Washington's 'Box of Lies,' Denzel Washington and Lenny Kravitz's Boat Trip (VIDEO)

If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.

"Scandal" star Kerry Washington and Jimmy Fallon tried to trick each other in a fun game called "Box of Lies." Weirdly enough, the line "In my box ... is a pumpkin with spaghetti in it..." was actually true! Also, it turns out Kerry is a big "Game of Thrones" fan. She started watching because her parents like it. She was planning to just make fun of them, but now she's a true GOT fan, and she even cooked her mom a GOT-themed dinner. Some guy in the audience booed Jimmy because he's not caught up on the show. At the end of the second video, Kerry shared a teaser on the new season of "Scandal" -- where is Olivia Pope? "You will know in the season premiere, immediately, you will know where she went," Kerry said. "And it's really good. It's worth the wait!" Nice! Watch the third video to hear her talk about how, growing up, she knew she was a mermaid. Knew it! She's more comfortable in the water than on land. She also challenges Jimmy to a synchronized swimming contest, in her next time on the show.

Carson Daly was also on "The Tonight Show," talking about all the action on "The Voice," and discussing all the babies behind the scenes. It's like Romper Room. Shakira set up a whole zoo. "If you come, careful, 'cause you'll leave pregnant." Fair warning!

Denzel Washington and Lenny Kravitz sat down together on "Late Show with David Letterman." Lenny's gold boots are everything! Apparently the two guys went on a boat trip on the Amalfi coast. That must've been the single coolest trip in history. (And by "boat" they probably meant the most amazing yacht anyone has ever seen.) Denzel said Lenny didn't eat on the trip, because he had an album coming out. Lenny said they watched all of Denzel's movies on the boat, because Denzel never watches his own stuff. Lenny said he loved hearing Denzel's commentary during the films. In the second video, Denzel talks about maybe someday being James Bond. He likes the idea, and Dave likes the idea too. Why not?

Jimmy Kimmel talked to Viola Davis and Anthony Bourdain (separately, but together next time might be fun). Viola chatted about her new show, "How to Get Away With Murder," in which she plays a criminal lawyer who is also a law professor. Viola noted that her job has "been about the Spanx" since she has to wear body makeup and Spanx and it takes her forever to get the Spanx on and off. Shonda Rhimes wooed her for the role, asking her to make a list of demands, since she's the star of the show. Viola's husband pushed her to ask for the Greek yogurt -- organic blueberry! -- and sparkling water. Aim high! Viola also shared a parking violation note she got from parking (badly) at the movie theater. It's a creative, if rather mean-spirited, note.

Jimmy also shared promos for two great new (fake) reality shows called "Women in Wigs Screaming at Each Other" and "Guys With Tattoos Cursing at Their Employees." From Bravo, of course.

Jennifer Hudson was on "Late Night with Seth Meyers," talking about her third album, "JHud." She looks so good. It's her new persona, "Joan," on the cover, in honor of Grace Jones. Jennifer talked about how she worked on a Disney cruise ship before "American Idol" and they showed a clip of her adorable son dancing.

Craig Ferguson had Lauren Graham and Ed Weeks of "The Mindy Project" on the show. Ed and Craig traded wonderful accents to discuss the origin of "Totes McGoat." Lauren and Craig suggested they do a new detective show together after he leaves "The Late Late Show."
