They're back! Harry and Lloyd, played by original stars Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey, have returned for "Dumb and Dumber To" (a whopping twenty years after the first movie), and judging by a new TV spot, the silliness has not only returned in a big way but looks like it might be even more effective than the first time around.
The little teaser starts off with the super annoying "Mockingbird" song from the original film, before running through brief details of the film's plot (Lloyd and Harry go on a cross-country mission to track down Harry's long lost daughter) and giving us a whole bunch of goofy nonsense. To quote Lloyd: I like it a lot!
Original filmmakers Peter and Bobby Farrelly return for the sequel, which also stars Laurie Holden, Kathleen Turner, Rob Riggle and, in a cameo role, Jennifer Lawrence (playing a younger version of Turner's character). Maybe most surprising is the addition of Empire of the Sun, the cutting edge Australian pop band, who will be composing the score for the new film. Now that is going to be nuts.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, the film wholly disregards the ill-fated prequel "Dum and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd," which I think we can all agree is for the best.
