What happens if you're a groom without any groomsmen? Well, if you're like Doug (Josh Gad), you hire a professional like Jimmy (Kevin Hart) to pretend to be your best man and best pal for the duration of your wedding. It's more expensive but less time-consuming than going on a lot of man-dates a la "I Love You Man," especially if you don't like bonding over Rush and "slappin' da bass."
Doug actually needs seven guys to be his groomsmen, and he's got less than two weeks to make it happen. Jimmy rounds up a gaggle of weirdos, and they construct an entire fake history of friendship together. The thing is, Doug's fiancé (played by Kaley Cuoco) eventually realizes something's afoot; it's not like Doug was a party animal before Jimmy showed up on the scene. Will Doug come clean to his loved ones about his hired motley crew? Will Jimmy break his business-only rule and actually become real life pals with Doug? Will Doug's grandma ever recuperate from being set fire to during a tense family dinner? We'll have to wait until January 16 to find out!
In the meantime, why not dress up as a sexy Olaf the Snowman for Halloween in honor of our pal Josh? It's the least you can do.
