Marvel is minting movies left and right, at the pace of some two or three a year, so might it be possible that fans will get to see a Hawkeye solo movie in the next few years?
Actor Jeremy Renner, who played the sharp-shooting archer in "The Avengers" and reprises the role in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," doesn't seem to be clamoring for one.
"I'm happy to be the ensemble. I'm not scratching or clawing to do a solo movie by any means," he told MTV News.
"I think he's a utility guy that can bounce around into other people's universes a little bit, especially like 'Cap 3,'" Renner added with two huge winks (both eyes!).
It's the first sorta confirmation that we might see Hawkeye in 2016's "Captain America 3." The character was supposed to pop up in this year's "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," but ended up getting cut.
Maybe if Hawkeye survives both "Age of Ultron" and "Captain America 3," he can be part of Marvel's phase 4,815.
