Please take this with the largest grain of salt around, but The Daily Mail is reporting that Carrie Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd is joining her mother in the cosmically anticipated sequel "Star Wars: Episode VII." Supposedly Lourd, Fisher's 21-year-old daughter, will be playing "a younger version of her mother's character," mostly because the two look so much alike.
Of course, Disney and Abrams have yet to comment on this rumor, which suggests that Lourd (whose father is agent Bryan Lourd) flew to England to be with her mother earlier in the month. The same report (again: grain of salt) had Lourd dressing up in Princess Leia's trademark buns.
Again: this could be poppycock, and there's a high probability it is. But it's still a neat rumor. So just take it as such.
Unless you've been sequestered on the ice planet Hoth, you know that "Star Wars: Episode VII," which stars John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, and Lupita Nyong'o, will open on December 18th, 2015.
