'23 Jump Street' Is Happening

Premiere Of Columbia Pictures' While the ending credits of "22 Jump Street" joked about all the ridiculous sequels that the series could produce ("25 Jump Street: A Semester at Sea," anyone?), it seems that a third installment in the franchise is definitely in the cards.

Deadline reports that studio Sony has once again brought in "22 Jump Street" screenwriter Rodney Rothman to pen "23 Jump Street." What's unclear at this point is if directors Phil Miller and Christopher Lord will return to the helm again.

According to Deadline, Miller and Lord are overseeing Rothman's script as producers, but have yet to decide if they will step up and direct, too. They're co-producing the threequel alongside Neal Moritz and stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill.

"21 Jump Street" and "22 Jump Street" were both big successes at the box office, so expect "23" to be the same, whenever it hits theaters.
