"Captain America: The Winter Soldier"
What's It About? Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America (Chris Evans) is still getting used to life in the 21st century, but before he gets too comfortable he's enlisted by S.H.I.E.L.D. to help stop another big bad. Captain American partners with Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) for a lot of action and awesomeness in their mission to stop the Winter Soldier. Anthony Mackie co-stars as Falcon.
Why We're IN: The "Avengers" series just keeps getting better and better. Plus, "Winter Soldier" gives us even more of Black Widow's bad-assery, proving once again that it's high time we get a stand-alone for this fantastic character.

"The Great Race"
What's It About? Blake Edwards directs Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis, and Natalie Wood in this slapstick comedy about a globe-trotting car race.
Why We're IN: There are tons of great gags, including a pie fight that destroyed 4,000 delectable desserts in the making. It's not Edwards's most successful or most well known movie, but it's still a darn fine comedy.

"Brick Mansions"
What's It About? The late Paul Walker co-stars with parkour mastermind David Belle in this dystopian actioner about a drug lord (RZA) and the walled-off neighborhood he more or less rules. There's also a plot to blow up the city, and some cool parkour-ing.
IN or OUT: Unless you're a huge fan of Paul Walker, you'd be better off watching the original movie "Brick Mansions" is based on, "District 13."
"Homeland: The Complete Third Season"
What's It About? Claire Danes is back as the tortured CIA agent Carrie Mathison, whose ongoing entanglement with former POW Nick Brody (Damian Lewis) reaches new heights of drama.
IN or OUT: Although reviews were mixed, fans might want to brush up on season three before the fourth premieres next month.
"Marvel's The Agents of SHIELD: The Complete First Season"
What's It About? Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and an elite team of S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives continue fighting the good fight against Hydra and other baddies in this Marvel crossover.
IN or OUT: Marvel fanatics might want to snag this season.
"Palo Alto"
What's It About? Emma Roberts, James Franco, Nat Wolff, and Jack Kilmer star in Gia Coppola's first feature-length film about a bunch of confused teens (and one lecherous soccer coach) kicking around Cali. The screenplay is based on Franco's book of short stories, "Palo Alto."
IN or OUT: If you like self-destructive teens and languorous indies, this is the movie for you.
"Supernatural: The Complete Ninth Season"
What's It About? Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki star as Dean and Sam Winchester, brothers who travel the world hunting down all sorts of spectral spooky things. Angels, demons, ghosts, and Death himself all appear.
IN or OUT: It's got a rabid fanbase, but you can also buy it on iTunes. Your mileage may vary.
"Words and Pictures"
What's It About? Clive Owen plays an English teacher and frustrated writer whose students aren't too engaged with the power of literature and writing. Juliette Binoche co-stars as an art teacher who's new to school. Naturally, sparks and rivalry follow.
IN or OUT: Sadly, this dynamic duo fizzles.
New on Blu-ray
"The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari"
What's It About? Dr. Caligari (Werner Krauss) keeps a creepy sleepwalker named Cesare (Conrad Veidt) as a sort of traveling sideshow attraction that Caligari can control through hypnosis. They land in a new town right around the time a slew of murders occur, and everyone's just a tad suspicious.
IN or OUT: This classic German Expressionist film gets a few tweaks thanks to Kino Lorber, like two different musical scores and improved subtitles. Why not?
"Young Frankenstein"
What's It About? Gene Wilder stars as Dr. Frankenstein's frustrated grandson, with Marty Feldman as his goofy Igor. Peter Boyle appears as his singing and dancing monster, with Madeline Kahn, Teri Garr, and Cloris Leachman in supporting roles.
IN or OUT: This is arguably one of Mel Brooks's finest movies, but this 40th Anniversary Edition doesn't have a lot of stuff to offer if you already own it on Blu-ray.
