Move over, "Orange": Blue is the new black.
That's according to "Grey's Anatomy" star Ellen Pompeo, who posted a photo of her and her fellow "Grey's" castmates dressed up as characters from "Orange Is the New Black," labeled with that provocative hashtag. Pompeo shared the snap on her WhoSay page and Twitter account, and the picture quickly went viral, inspiring countless fans to declare their love for the actress, "Grey's," and "Orange."
Pompeo went all-out for accuracy, too, as she did her hair in cornrows to stand in for Tricia, while castmate Sara Ramirez donned black-framed glasses and some serious eye makeup to do her best Alex Vause impression. Big Boo and Crazy Eyes also joined in the fun.
Though there don't seem to be any plans in place for a "Grey's"-"Orange" crossover, it's good to know that the cast will be ready at a moment's notice in case that amazing event ever occurs. And as if Pompeo's "Orange" fandom wasn't evident enough from the photo, she encouraged her followers on Twitter to familiarize themselves with the Netflix prison dramedy.
"[I]f they don't [watch it] they should those girls are giving it," Pompeo wrote.
