Watch the Insanely NSFW Trailer for the Uncut 'Nymphomaniac' at Your Own Risk (VIDEO)

If you watched Lars von Trier's often-brilliant (and just-as-often-frustrating) two-part "Nymphomaniac," a mostly earnest exploration of modern sexuality, gender politics, and European guilt, but thought it was sorely lacking in the hardcore penetration, bodily fluids, and bloody bruises department, well, you're in luck, because the uncut, totally bonkers version is finally washing up on American shores (on Blu-ray, no less) this November. And a teaser has just dropped. Warning: do not watch if pregnant, have a heart condition, or are at your office and want to keep your job at all.



"Nymphomaniac" stars Charlotte Gainsbourg, who is discovered beaten in an alleyway by a monastic weirdo (Stellan Skarsgard). As the man and woman begin to talk, she tells the man an insanely detailed history of her sexual conquests, beginning when she was a very young woman (in these sequences the character is played by model Stacy Martin). The first section of the two-part movie is funny and off-the-rails, the second is more bizarre and tortured; together they are close to masterful.



One thing that director von Trier, a noted prankster who was temporarily banned from Cannes after comparing himself to Nazis, kept talking about in the months leading up to the release of "Nymphomaniac" was that he was going to have adult film actors perform acts of penetration and then digitally superimpose the actors faces onto those performers. But when the movie finally came out, it was naughty but still relatively tame, with the uncut version eventually making its way around the festival circuit (it played Berlin earlier this year and just got done screening at Venice). If you're wondering when you can see the film in all of its filthy glory, take heart: on November 25^th Magnolia Pictures will be unleashing the uncut version on Blu-ray and DVD. Expect jaws to drop, cookies to be tossed, and nervous giggling to ensue (if this brief teaser is any indication). Again: we cannot stress now not suitable for work this clip is. Still there? OK.
