Oh, "American Horror Story: Freak Show." If we just willed you into airing tomorrow, would you? Because that'd really be for the best, since all of these super-creepy teasers are making us positively jittery with anticipation (also fear). FX has unleashed a trio of new teasers for the series, which emphasize just how much of a nightmare this new season will be (in the best possible way).
The first teaser, "twisted smile," features a clown with a rigor mortis grin, while the second is a twist on that, with a clown that opens its mouth to reveal rows of shark-like, sharpened teeth. The third spot features freak show staple the sword swallower. And it's super creepy too.
FX has also been more forthcoming with their synopsis of the series, which follows: "'American Horror Story: Freak Show' begins its tale in the quiet, sleepy hamlet of Jupiter, Florida. The year is 1952. A troupe of curiosities has just arrived to town, coinciding with the strange emergence of a dark entity that savagely threatens the lives of townsfolk and freaks alike. This is the story of the performers and their desperate journey of survival amidst the dying world of the American carny experience." Um, sounds awesome.
This season stars Jessica Lange (who just won an Emmy for her performance last season as the wicked leader of a coven of witches), Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Patti LaBelle, Denis O'Hare and Wes Bentley.
"American Horror Story: Freak Show" premieres on October 8th. Prepare to get freaked.
