A bit of "Glee" is coming to the Directors Guild Awards.
Jane Lynch has been tapped to host the 66th Annual Directors Guild Awards on January 25.
"We are thrilled to welcome Jane Lynch as host of the DGA Awards for the very first time," said DGA president Pairs Barclay in a statement. "I have known Jane for years, and have envied her quick wit - and her extraordinary height. She always makes the job of directing her a joy, and I look forward to her helping us honor the year's best in film and television."
Lynch is no stranger to hosting awards shows. She emceed the 2010 VH1 DoSomething Awards, then became only the third woman to host the Primetime Emmys in 2011. She will be the first woman to headline the DGAs.
The "Glee" star boasts a stacked film resume, as well, most often lending her voice to animated movies like "Wreck-It Ralph," "Rio," and "Shrek Ever After."
Nominations for feature films will be announced January 7; for TV and commercials on January 9; and for documentaries on January 13.
