Kristen Wiig on Bill Murray's 'Ghostbusters 3' Endorsement: 'I Will Do Whatever He Tells Me'

Premiere Of Roadside Attractions'

The internet was abuzz earlier this week when Bill Murray suggested a dream team of actresses for that rumored all-female installment of "Ghostbusters 3." Now, Kristen Wiig, who was name-checked by Murray, has reacted to the news -- and seems to be on board with the idea.

While at the Toronto International Film Festival promoting her work in "The Skeleton Twins," Wiig was asked to comment on Murray's ringing endorsement of the actress to take the "Ghostbusters" part. (Murray had called Wiig "so funny" while throwing her name into his picks for the cast list.)

"That's very flattering," Wiig told Yahoo! Movies. "I guess they're making [an all-female 'Ghostbusters'] from what I hear, which is pretty great."

Wiig's "Skelton Twins" co-star, Bill Hader, was also in the room, and tried to convince the actress that she should take the part if offered.

"I don't want to pressure you," Hader told Wiig. "But you should do it. ... And you should have a friend, who's like a guy, who has to carry around your proton pack."

We'd be totally on board with a Hader cameo, especially if, as Yahoo!'s Kevin Polowy suggested, Hader played the Annie Potts part. As for Wiig, after some coaxing, she did eventually comment on whether or not she'd appear in the film.

"I will do whatever Bill Murray tells me to," she replied.

Sounds like advice to live by. Our fingers are crossed that Wiig suits up -- alongside fellow Murray suggestions Melissa McCarthy, Emma Stone, and Linda Cardellini -- for director Paul Feig's dream project.
