'Orphan Black' Season 3 Starts With Meeting of the Clones

Orphan Black"Orphan Black" ended its second season with the mind-blowing revelation of the existence of male clones. When the BBC America drama returns this spring, it wastes no time in putting one of those male clones into a room with female clone Sarah Manning (Tatiana Maslany).

The first image from the third season, available at Entertainment Weekly, shows Sarah meeting with a male clone, who is named Rudy (Ari Millen). The scene takes place not long after Sarah's initial glimpse of him at the end of season 2.

"We don't waste a lot of time," co-creator Graeme Manson told EW. "That scene is what we like to call clone speed dating."

Manson teased that more male clones will be introduced, and questions raised about their motivations. "How are they different? How are they the same, these brothers? And what the heck is Mark up to?" Manson said, referring to the Prolethean assassin, also played by Millen.

Despite the introduction of male clones, "Orphan Black" is still very much the story of Sarah and her sisters. Cosima's health remains a major concern. "She still has a very important role in saving her sisters, but there's more at stake than just science this year," he noted.

And best news of all: Alison and Donny's new bond, forged after his murder of Dr. Leekie, will continue to be a major storyline. "A lot of fun to be had with the Hendrixes," Manson said.

Let's cross our fingers for another clone dance party!
