F--k Yeah! 'Team America' to Replace 'The Interview' at Texas Theater

Film - Team America: World Police

Texas moviegoers who had planned on seeing "The Interview" -- the now-cancelled Sony comedy starring James Franco and Seth Rogen about the assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un -- can now watch a similarly-themed film in its place.

The Dallas/Forth Worth location of the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema chain will offer one screening of "Team America: World Police" during a showtime it had initially reserved for "The Interview." The R-rated 2004 flick, co-written by "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, featured foul-mouthed puppets fighting against several evil world leaders, including Kim Jong-un's father, Kim Jong-il.

"We're just trying to make the best of an unfortunate situation," said James Wallace, creative manager and programmer at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema's Dallas/Fort Worth location, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

The screening, part of the chain's famous "quote-along" series, will invite moviegoers to shout out quotes and sing songs from the films with subtitles displayed onscreen. Red, white, and blue paraphernalia and other patriotic items will be passed out to audience members.

For more information about the event, visit the Alamo Drafthouse's website. And if you don't mind having the song stuck in your head all day, listen to "Team America"'s epic -- and NSFW -- anthem, "America (F--k Yeah)," here.
