The Cast of 'Downton Abbey' Apologizes for Bottle-Gate in the Best Way Possible (PHOTO)

When you screw up and the internet takes notice (hardcore notice), it's best to come back with an "oops, we screwed up"-type acknowledgement that the internet will embrace with nearly as much fervor as the original gaffe. Such is the case with the cast of "Downton Abbey."



Late last week, bottle-gate hit the intertubes, and no one could believe it. On Sunday, the cast took to Instagram to post their regrets, with each member of the cast cheekily cheers-ing with a water bottle of their very own. What's really great about it, however, is the fact that they took the apology as an opportunity to spread the word about charity WaterAid. Nicely done, Downton. Cheers to that.
