The MTV Video Music Awards never disappoint when it comes to musical performances, and 2014 was no exception. Miss all the night's big numbers? Check 'em out right here!
Three major female artists of today -- Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, and Jessie J -- kicked off the big show with their hit, "Bang Bang." But before they launched into their song, Nicki Minaj killed it with her super sexy "Anaconda" moves: You won't be able to look away:
Then Taylor Swift sparkled in a Gatsby-esque performance of her new single "Shake It Off," off her upcoming album, "1989." We couldn't help but tap our feet (fine, we got up and danced a little...) while watching this upbeat number go down:
Grab the tissues, people. Crooner Sam Smith performed his lovely, albeit emotional, "Stay With Me" ballad and brought the house down:
The always-entertaining Usher (complete with electric guitar!) did a dance-tastic version of "She Came to Give It to You" with Nicki Minaj:
Next, boy band of-the-moment 5 Seconds of Summer rocked out to their hit "Amnesia" and the (under 21) crowd went wild:
Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora teamed up for their duet, "Black Widow," a high-concept, spider-themed act that didn't miss a beat:
And Maroon 5 took it outside The Forum for a cool performance of "Maps" under the Inglewood sunset:
Finally, we all bowed to Beyonce as she performed an unforgettable medley of songs off of her self-titled album. Just flawless:
