Best of Late Night TV: Lindsay Lohan Takes the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, Jared Leto Gets Shaved (VIDEO)

If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.

Lindsay Lohan was the latest celebrity to participate in the viral ALS Ice Bucket Challenge campaign, after a "Tonight Show" viewer wrote in to complain that he challenged the actress, but she had yet to respond. That didn't sit well with host Jimmy Fallon, who flew Lohan in from London to complete the stunt. After she did the deed, the sopping wet starlet challenged another set of people, including Prince Harry and fellow "Tonight Show" guest Jared Leto.

Speaking of Leto, he didn't walk away from "Tonight" completely unscathed either, as mid-interview, Fallon decided to shave his bushy, messiah-reminiscent beard. "I have been asked to do some resurrections lately," the Oscar winner admitted, relenting to Fallon's offer to give him a quick trim.

Also on "Tonight," The Roots got in on the fun with recurring segment Suggestion Box, where they performed as Black Simon and Garfunkel -- adding some haunting harmonies to the Meghan Trainor tune "All About That Bass" -- as well as rapped a recap of all the big summer blockbuster movies.

On "Chelsea Lately," host Chelsea Handler had the tables turned and was the one being interviewed this time around, chatting with "Community" star Joel McHale. McHale, who's hosted fellow E! series "The Soup" for a decade, was incredulous about Handler's upcoming departure from the network -- "I was like, 'Wait, you can do that?!'" -- and asked about the comedienne's reasoning for the switch. "This was more of a move to distance myself from the Kardashians," Handler explained. Whether she was joking or not (we think not) is up for interpretation.

Jaime King, star of "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For," stopped by "Conan" and chatted with host Conan O'Brien about taking an Uber car to the hospital to give birth earlier this year. The actress explained that she thought taking an ambulance would be "dramatic," and Uber cars are also extremely fast and reliable. Her driver earned a five-star rating for his troubles, King told Conan.

On "The Late Show," Kathy Griffin stopped by the promote her new comedy album, "Look at My Butt Crack," which features a naked photo of the comedienne on the cover. Host David Letterman refused to say the name of the CD, leading Griffin to pester him about why he hasn't participated in any naked photo shoots himself. Griffin also told an anecdote about a recent run-in at an event with One Direction singer Harry Styles and Oscar winner Tom Hanks, in which the former was (allegedly) drunkenly asking the latter if he remembered starring in iconic films like "Forrest Gump" and "Saving Private Ryan." A perplexed Hanks was polite, Griffin recalled, but a bit bewildered once Styles left the room -- and wondered if the pop star needed some professional help.
