The horrors found lurking in suburban homes and abandoned cabins are nothing compared to the evils lurking in the tombs of Egyptian pharaohs.
As the trailer for "The Pyramid" intones, the so-called "curse of the pharaohs" have bedeviled adventurers across history - ships reporting ghouls, explorers going missing, excavation team members dying horrific deaths.
"The Pyramid" is done in that "found footage" style a la "Blair Witch Project" and "Paranormal Activity." When a team discovers a new pyramid, though, they can't resist going inside. "This is the find of the century. You're crazy if you think I'm not going in there!" one exclaims.
But, of course, when they get inside, they discover they're stuck in a labyrinth - and something doesn't want them to find their way out.
"The Pyramid" opens December 5.
