Watch Kristen Stewart Get Deadly Serious in the 'Camp X-Ray' Trailer (VIDEO)

One of the first things Private Amy Cole (Kristen Stewart) is told when she starts at Guantanamo Bay is, "You can talk to 'em, but do not let these guys know anything about you. Do not let them get inside your head." Then she meets Ali (Payman Maadi), one of the prisoners she's in charge of, and she realizes things aren't so black and white at "Camp X-Ray."



Stewart has done her best to shed her "Twilight" past, with racy roles in movies like "The Runaways" and "On the Road." Judging by this trailer for "Camp X-Ray," which was written and directed by Peter Sattler, she's not giving up any time soon. It's a busy year for the young star; she also shares the screen with Juliette Binoche and Chloë Grace Moretz in Olivier Assayas's "Clouds of Sils Maria," which currently does not have a release date.



"Camp X-Ray" hits theaters on October 17, 2014.
