Director Colin Trevorrow may be coy when it comes to releasing details about "Jurassic World," the fourth installment of the "Jurassic Park" franchise, but that doesn't mean he won't drop a hint every now and then.
Trevorrow was in a particularly giving mood on Twitter recently while answering a fan question about the hotly anticipated sequel. When asked whether or not "Jurassic World" would be a reboot, Trevorrow had this to say:
@pfcbains916 Reboot is a strong word. This is a new sci-fi terror adventure set 22 years after the horrific events of Jurassic Park.

There's lots to parse from the short exchange, but the biggest takeaway is that the movie won't be a reboot -- or at least not entirely. It will most likely reference the 1993 original while starting a fresh story (and perhaps launching a new trilogy along the way). The fact that Trevorrow also plans to make the film scarier than its predecessors (did anyone think "Jurassic Park III" was particularly terrifying?) is an interesting choice, once again linking it back to the original, which is still goosebump-inducing all these years later.
Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins ("Iron Man 3"), and Nick Robinson ("Kings of Summer") are all signed on to star in "Jurassic World," and Chris Pratt, Jason Schwartzman, and Irrfan Khan ("Life of Pi") are also reportedly being eyed for roles. "Jurassic World" roars into theaters June 12, 2015.
