New video depicting the set of "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" promises that the hotly-anticipated sequel will feature plenty of chaos and destruction.
A news helicopter from local Detroit TV station WXYZ was flying back from recording a breaking news assignment when it caught glimpse of some action on the set of the "Man of Steel" follow-up. The chopper captured some footage from what looked like the aftermath of a huge attack, including crumpled Metropolis police cars, destroyed buildings and buses, and the crumbled wreckage of a structure featuring a Wayne Financial sign.
What all this suggests is anyone's guess, though based on the destruction visited upon things found in both Superman and Batman's hometowns of Metopolis and Gotham, we're guessing there's a bit of a tit-for-tat spat happening between the heroes. Shooting is expected to continue in Detroit throughout the summer, before moving to Chicago sometime in October; The Hollywood Reporter notes that the Windy City has previously stood in for Gotham in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy.
"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" opens on May 6, 2016.
