Some childhood obsessions never fade, and Emma Stone, a self-proclaimed diehard Spice Girls fan, is living proof.
The starlet was reduced to a nervous, crying wreck during a recent interview promoting her upcoming flick, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," when she received a personal video message from Mel B., a.k.a. Scary Spice. Mel B. (real name: Melanie Brown), who makes appearances on the Australian radio show Jules, Merrick & Sophie, couldn't attend the show's interview with Stone, but sent along a video clip with her co-hosts.
Stone goes from smiling to slack-jawed as she realizes that Brown taped the message specifically for her, and fights back tears as she watches the singer speak.
"Oh my God, is Mel B. talking to me?" an incredulous Stone asks. "I'm so excited. I'm legitimately crying. I'm the biggest Spice Girls fan ever."
Brown's message included a similar declaration of love for Stone, though she lightly chastised the actress for previously stating that her favorite Spice Girl was Baby. Brown then invited Stone to make up for the slight by singing a Spice Girls song of Stone's choosing, which the actress gamely performed.
Check out the hilarious clip, and marvel at Stone's impressive rapping skills. We can't imagine we wouldn't also freak out when faced with our own idols, but we think Stone handled the encounter with adorable aplomb.
