Anna Paquin's career certainly started out with a bang. In 1993 the Canadian-born, New Zealand-raised actress landed her first major movie role and she's pretty much been working since.
That movie was "The Piano," and her acclaimed performance ended up earning her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She was only 11 -- the second youngest person to ever win an Oscar. (Tatum O'Neal holds the title at 10 for "Paper Moon.")
So, in anticipation of this coming Sunday's "True Blood" season premiere, let's take a look back at the adorable Anna from way back when. Watch her in utter shock as she accepts her big award:
