'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For' Is Even More Sinful in the Red Band Comic-Con Trailer (VIDEO)

At the "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" panel over the weekend, co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller noted that it was almost ten years to the day since the last time they were presenting "Sin City" footage at Comic-Con. (Yes, it's been that long since the first movie.) Thankfully, the wait for rainy, neo-noir crime shenanigans is almost up, as the highly anticipated sequel opens at the end of August, and just in case you were hankering for a real deal look at all the sex and violence the sequel has to offer, here's a red band clip from the movie to really get your motor running.



What's great about this clip is that it compares some of the actors and set pieces to their comic book counterparts (where appropriate -- this sequel has some new sections crafted specifically for this movie) and shows you just how faithful Rodriguez has been to Miller's original cult comic book. We got to see some more footage from the movie at the panel (more on that soon) and we can say that this is going to be a wonderful return to the crime-plagued original film, with even more fun thanks to the movie being in eye-popping 3D.



The cast for this film is also ridiculous, with returning stars Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, and Rosario Dawson joined by new cast members like Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Christopher Lloyd, Lady Gaga (who you can see in this clip), Ray Liotta and Jeremy Piven.



"Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" opens, in spectacularly bloody fashion, on August 22^nd.
