Bachelorette Andi Dorfman stopped by "Jimmy Kimmel Live" with her new fiance, Josh Murray, after getting engaged on the season finale of "The Bachelorette," which aired Monday night. Host Jimmy Kimmel couldn't help having a bit of fun with the pair, playing a round of what he dubbed The No-ly Wed Game to find out just how well the new couple knew each other. The duo did fairly well, though both claimed that Murray was still a virgin, because as Dorfman put it, "My grandmother watches this." "If she hasn't had a heart attack from watching what you've done on that show, [she] is gonna live to be 150 years old," Kimmel quipped.
Dorfman and Murray also discussed the challenges of keeping a low profile after their engagement episode was taped, since the result would be a secret for two months while the show aired on ABC. Kimmel also admitted that he thought the entire "Bachelorette" concept was odd, since Dorfman was dating other people right up until the pair's engagement, something the reality star likened to polygamy's sister wives concept. "They're brother husbands," she said of the male contestants.
Kimmel also couldn't help gloating that he had correctly predicted the outcome of the season, flashing back to Dorfman's appearance on his show back in May where he told her she'd pick Josh M. and that they were in fact engaged at that moment. "It was all correct!" Kimmel crowed, adding that his wife and one of his producers were the ones who helped him sort through all the guys on the show to land on Murray. Just how happy Kimmel was about his wife ogling other men was another story.
On "The Tonight Show," James Franco chatted with host Jimmy Fallon about his foolproof technique for taking selfies with fans waiting outside the backstage door of his new Broadway play, "Of Mice and Men." While some eager people hold their phones at odd angles or lean too far back to take a good shot, Franco said he always wore a hat and sunglasses and kept a "stone face" expression in order to ensure he looked his best in every frame. Franco and Fallon then demonstrated, donning matching hats and glasses.
The pair also trotted out a new game, 5-Second Summaries, in which one player tries to describe a movie's plot in only five seconds, and the other has to guess the film's title. Franco was off to a bad start right from the first clue, as he said the word "pie" while describing "American Pie," and also dropped an F-bomb. "You can't say that, either," Fallon scolded him. The rules of the game kept escalating, with the pair unable to use actors' or even characters' names in their clues, and eventually their window of time dropped from five to three to one second. Sadly, Fallon was unable to come up with the source of the hint "Wilson!," much to Franco's (and the audience's) chagrin.
"The Leftovers" star Justin Theroux stopped by "Chelsea Lately" and talked about how he and fiancee Jennifer Aniston (who went unnamed during the segment) were watching a show on E!, "Lately"'s network, when they saw a news crawl misspell host Chelsea Handler's last name as "Hander." "She sounds amazing, by the way," Theroux said of the fictional, seemingly eager to please woman.
John C. Reilly, who stars in the upcoming Marvel flick "Guardians of the Galaxy," chatted with "The Late Show" host David Letterman about his experience shooting the film in London, and how the stereotype that everyone across the pond is obsessed with tea is true. A seemingly never-ending stream of people kept offering him a "cuppa," Reilly said. "It happened to me at a urinal one time." The actor said that he drank so much tea that eventually it started to affect his sleeping habits -- and his sanity. Reilly also shared with Letterman what he claimed was a clip of his character in "Guardians," though he admitted he hadn't seen it yet.
Letterman also talked to "Under the Dome" star Rachelle Lefevre, who revealed a major change with her character, Julia, for the second season of the series: She would be wearing nipple shields. Lefevre explained that she received them from CBS when shooting began on the new season, because apparently, "My high beams were on" all throughout season one thanks to the cold weather on the set, causing problems for the editors. "They need the effects budget for other things," the actress said.
