If you're like us and value your sleep, you probably nodded off into your Ambien dreamland before the party started on post-prime time TV. Don't worry; we've got you covered. Here's the best of what happened last night on late night.
John Stamos was on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" to plug his movie "My Man Is a Loser." Obviously, Uncle Jesse is not a loser, but he plays a playboy in the movie. He told Jimmy Kimmel he believes in the institution of marriage, despite getting caught up in the idea of the whole bachelor life "so guys like you can live vicariously through me." John said he'd switch lives with Jimmy in a heartbeat, to have a beautiful wife and baby. "She'll go to you," Jimmy deadpanned of his wife, Molly. Watch the video for John's weird attempt at a compliment to "fertilize" Jimmy's wife.
John also gave Jimmy's baby daughter (he had trouble remembering her name, but it's Jane) a new gift - an Uncle Jesse doll, which is labeled "Warning: This product includes small parts." John was insulted by that. The "Full House" alum also told Jimmy he started a "manny" service, complete with business cards: "John Stamos: Professional Baby-Sitter and Male Nanny."Jimmy quipped, "You will go to any lengths to lure women into your traps." Hey, plenty of moms would probably line up for this service!
Also, Jimmy said it's been a long time since he's had a newborn in the house, so he got parenting advice from a 7-year-old boy.
Jimmy Fallon talked to "Hercules" star Dwayne Johnson and they showed clips of a semi-famous fitness duo called "The Fungo Brothers." The brothers may look familiar to you... although the hair is a bit different. You have to see them feel the burn with their pseudo Thighmasters. Remember: You gotta hustle for the muscle! David Letterman had a good laugh with Ricky Gervais, discussing Dave's upcoming retirement and Ricky's relationship status. Dave asked if he ever married "that woman" and that got Ricky to cackle. "That woman" is his girlfriend of ... 30 years?! Seriously. Wow. Good for them. He said there's no point in getting married. "We don't need any more toasters, we don't want our families to meet, that would be terrible." He already has a cat and that might be enough of a family for him. "Kids are sponges - they don't give you anything back." So John Stamos probably won't have to get Ricky a baby gift!
Dave also talked to Taylor Schilling of "Orange Is The New Black," and they discussed the book and the women's prison system in general:
Seth Meyers talked to Kate Hudson, who just had a great experience on set with Bill Murray, although she was on "Late Night" to plug a different movie, "Wish I Was Here." She has a picture of Bill from "SNL" on her bar wall at home. She stares at it every time she takes a drink, so she was pinching herself to work with this "genius." Kate also talked about growing up in a storytelling family and watching her mom Goldie Hawn's movies when she was younger. Now she can see that with her own kids. She was always a performer, but she grew up wanting to be Paula Abdul, Madonna or Janet Jackson. "I hit a wall" on that, she admitted.
Conan shared The Gary Oldman Death Supercut, showing how Gary has died 17 times in his movies. Watch poor Gary die repeatedly in this loving montage (his laughter in the background is the best part):
