The last photo of Ben Affleck's Batman released into the wild indicated that the character would be even more brooding than usual in the upcoming "Batman vs. Superman." Now, director Zack Snyder isn't doing anything to change that perception by sharing another emo-looking snap of the character on social media Thursday.
The photo, a close-up of Batfleck's face, shows the character in profile, looking down and frowning. It's not much to go on, though it certainly does have a somber vibe, indicating that the Bruce Wayne portrayed in the "Man of Steel" follow-up is going to be a broken and battered hero in search of redemption.

Synder didn't include any other clues in his Twitter post, though (just the hashtag #75, a reference to the 75th anniversary of the caped crusader), so fans will have to wait and see if that characterization is correct.
"Batman vs. Superman" is due out on May 6, 2016.
