Moviefone's Top DVD of the Week
"Dom Hemingway"
What's It About? Jude Law dons impressive chops and gold teeth to play a sleazy
safecracker fresh out of jail. Dom took the fall without ratting out his boss (Demián Bichir), and now it's time to pay the piper. Richard E. Grant co-stars as his best friend, whom Dom enlists on his quest to get paid. Emilia Clarke (the mother of dragons!) plays Dom's estranged daughter, Evelyn.
Why We're IN: We love darkly funny crime thrillers, and it's cool to see Jude Law back in action.
Moviefone's Top Blu-ray of the Week
The Essential Jacques Demy (Criterion)
What's It About? This box set comes with the most beloved movies by the French auteur: "Lola," "Bay of Angels," "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg," "The Young Girls of Rochefort," "Donkey Skin," and "Une Chambre en Ville."
Why We're IN: In addition to the digital restorations of these delightful classics, this box set comes with two docs by Agnes Varda, four shorts by Demy, interviews, and more.
New on DVD & Blu-ray
"All Cheerleaders Die"
What's It About? Maddy (Caitlin Stasey) is a cheerleader hell bent on revenge on one of the football players, but her plan goes horribly awry. Zombie cheerleaders with unnatural appetites roam the halls of high school, and the football team is looking tasty.
IN or OUT: This horror-comedy got decidedly mixed reviews, but fans of Lucky McKee and Chris Sivertson might want to take a look.
"The Angriest Man in Brooklyn"
What's It About? Robin Williams stars as the eponymous angry guy who is rude to the wrong person -- his doctor, played by Mila Kunis, who is having a pretty bad day herself. She tells him he has a brain aneurysm and 90 minutes to live. He decides to go make amends while the good doc is trying to track him down and make her own amends.
IN or OUT: Despite the cast, which includes Melissa Leo and Peter Dinklage, this dramedy (directed by Phil Alden Robinson of "Field of Dreams" fame) is a disaster.
"Cesar Chavez"
What's It About? Michael Pena stars as union activist Cesar Chavez in this drama about Chavez's initial efforts to organize agricultural workers in California into the United Farm Workers, and the difficulties of being an activist as well as a father and husband. America Ferrera, Rosario Dawson, and John Malkovich co-star.
IN or OUT: Pena's performance got rave reviews, but some critics weren't too bowled over this biopic.
"Heaven is for Real"
What's It About? Young Colton (Connor Corum) returns from a near-death experience with all sorts of stories about going to heaven, but his parents (Greg Kinnear and Kelly Reilly) are naturally quite skeptical. The more Colton describes his white-light trip, the more his parents have to reevaluate their beliefs about life and faith.
IN or OUT: This is one faith-based film that's preaching out of tune.
"Sabotage"
What's It About? David Ayer ("Training Day," "End of Watch") directs this flick about a team of DEA agents led by Arnold Schwarzenegger and other manly cohorts, like Joe Manganiello and Sam Worthington.
IN or OUT: Nope.
"Transcendence"
What's It About? Johnny Depp as an AI researcher who gets plugged into the Matrix instead of dying. All sorts of gobbledygook about technology and the singularity unfold. Rebecca Hall, Morgan Freeman, and Paul Bettany co-star in Wally Pfister's directorial debut. (Pfister is Christopher Nolan's go-to cinematographer.)
WATCH: Go behind-the-scenes on the science of "Transcendence" (EXCLUSIVE)
"Tyler Perry's The Single Moms Club"
What's It About? Wendi McLendon-Covey, Nia Long, Amy Smart, Zulay Henao, and Cocoa Brown play a group of single moms who are thrown together when their kids get in trouble at school.
IN or OUT: An okay premise with a funny cast that gets a little too sappy in the end.

New to Blu-ray
"Destroy All Monsters" and "Godzilla vs Megalon"
What's It About? This is a double feature from Toho; the titles are pretty self-explanatory, especially if you're a fan of Kaiju movies.
IN or OUT: This is a Toho-approved set, but it doesn't include any bonus features to speak of.
"Ginger Snaps" (Collector's Edition)
What's It About? Emily Perkins and Katharine Isabelle play morbid sisters whose hobbies get a little too real when Ginger (Isabelle) gets bitten by a werewolf. A fabulous horror film about the grody side effects of being a teenage girl, as per all the werewolf fairy tales.
IN or OUT: This collector's edition has a lot of extras, like interviews, deleted scenes, and featurettes. Snap it up!
"Insomnia" (Criterion)
What's It About? Sweden's midnight sun takes a toll on a detective (Stellan Skarsgård) investigating a murder in this film by Erik Skjoldbjærg. (Christopher Nolan remade it a few years later, with Al Pacino and Robin Williams.)
IN or OUT: This mystery flick doesn't come with a ton of extras, but it has been digitally restored.
"The Legend of Billie Jean" (Fair is Fair Edition)
What's It About? Helen Slater stars as Billie Jean, a badass Texas chick who just wants to help her little brother Binx (Christian Slater) get his scooter repaired after a bunch of bullies trash it. Things get way outta hand, but along the way Billie Jean and her rallying cry of "Fair is fair!" inspires teens everywhere.
IN or OUT: Definitely in, especially since it co-stars Yeardley Smith, the voice of Lisa Simpson herself!
"Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance"
What's It About? Park Chan-wook's gruesome tale of black market organ trade, kidnapping, and revenge is a favorite among fans.
IN or OUT: This release has audio commentary by Chan-wook and star Ryoo Seung-wan, interviews, and more. Fans will want in.
