Feast Your Eyes On the Action-Packed 'Star Wars Rebels' Extended Trailer (VIDEO)

In a galaxy far, far away, a rebellion is forming -- and with it, new heroes are emerging.



An extended trailer for DisneyXD's "Star Wars Rebels" provides an in-depth look at the animated series that takes place after the events of "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith."



The video gives us a better sense of the story and characters. As Obi-Wan Kenobi intones, the Republic has fallen and the Empire is hunting down any remaining Jedi. Ezra (voiced by Taylor Gray) is a young orphan who is taken under the wing of a surviving Jedi, Kanan (voice of Freddie Prinze, Jr.). They must face down rampaging hunters led by the Inquisitor (Jason Isaacs).



And though things look very bleak, well, we know there's a light at the end of the tunnel. "Our future is uncertain," Obi-Wan notes, "but in time, a new hope will emerge."



"Star Wars Rebels" premieres this fall on DisneyXD.
