"Are you telling me the fate of 12 billion people are in the hands of a thief, two thugs, a murderer, and maniac?" Glenn Close asks in the new international trailer for Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy."
Yup. And it sounds like a fantastic idea.
The trailer boasts some new footage, including a lot more of the dry humor of Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper). There's great banter between him and Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), like when the former scoffs at Star-Lord having a plan and the latter insists he's at least "got part of a plan."
The spot also goes into a bit more detail about Star-Lord's background, and gives us glimpses Lee Pace's villain, Ronan, as well as Karen Gillan's baddie Nebula.
"Guardians of the Galaxy" hits American theaters August 1.
