It seems that every new episode of "The Walking Dead" breaks a different ratings record, and last night's season five midseason finale was no different.
AMC announced Monday that the episode, "Coda," scored the series's best-ever fall finale ratings, nabbing 14.8 million viewers. That's up a whopping 25 percent in the coveted 18-49 demographic from 2013's midseason finale, and 23 percent overall from that episode, which scored 12.05 million total viewers.
"The Walking Dead" also defeated NBC's Sunday Night Football programming for the fifth time in eight weeks, and is the fall's number one series among 18-49-year-olds.
Despite those big numbers, "Coda" still fell short of an all-time record for the series, which earned its highest-ever ratings for its season five premiere with 17.29 million viewers. Maybe next February's midseason premiere will change that.
