Jennifer Lawrence Is a Pop Star Now, Thanks to Her 'Mockingjay' Song (AUDIO)

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1, Jennifer Lawrence

She's won an Oscar for her acting talent, and now Jennifer Lawrence is poised to take over the musical world, too.

Lawrence, who is featured in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" on the song "The Hanging Tree," has said that she hates her voice and was traumatized when asked to sing on set. But that hasn't stopped "The Hanging Tree," a single on the official "Mockingjay" soundtrack, from taking off on the pop charts, notching high rankings internationally -- and poised to debut in the Billboard Hot 100 stateside.

In Australia, Lawrence is currently sitting at the No. 12 spot on the ARIA Australian Top 50 Singles Chart. She also holds the No. 14 spot on the Official U.K. Singles Chart.

And that's not all. According to Billboard, Lawrence should land somewhere in the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 once those numbers are released on Wednesday, December 3. The track, led by "Hunger Games" composer James Newton Howard, is projected to sell more than 150,000 downloads in the U.S.

"The Hanging Tree" was written by "Hunger Games" author Suzanne Collins, and Jeremiah Fraites and Wesley Schultz, members of folk band The Lumineers. Listen to the haunting tune below, or catch Lawrence's singing debut in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1," in theaters now.
