It's been rumored for some time now, but Ryan Reynolds just made it official: The actor will reprise his role as Deadpool in a new standalone movie.
Reynolds posted an image of the superhero on Twitter to announce the news, though there's been no official word from Fox.

Meanwhile, Deadline reports that the studio is currently hammering out a deal with the star for a feature focusing on the character, who first appeared onscreen in 2009's "X-Men Origins: Wolverine." Deadline reports that Fox is making the movie in conjunction with Marvel Studios, and director Tim Miller is attached to helm the film.
"Deadpool" is tentatively scheduled for a February 2016 release. Stay tuned for more details.
