The simple fact is this: there are
so many movies released every year. Even when it's your job to see movies, chances are that you miss a handful (myself included). But more, it can safely be assumed, have slipped by
you. Which is a shame, because there were a ton of smaller movies that missed the mark in terms of a general audience, but are well worth a watch. Many of these movies are available on home video, Netflix, or through various on demand channels; all of them are hidden treasures in a cinematic landscape largely filled with bombast and noise.
So, as we reach the end of the year, and look back at all the films we watched and loved, we wanted to share with you a list of ten of the very
best movies that you probably didn't see this year, and implore you to please, watch them, because they are very, very good.
