Now that the main cast for the second season of HBO's "True Detective" has finally been confirmed, fans may be wondering who else will pop up on the anthology series. If you guessed a former '80s pop star-turned-actor, you'd be right.
Rick Springfield -- of "Jessie's Girl" fame -- announced this week that he's also joined the ensemble. In a post on Twitter, Springfield said that he'd wrapped his first day of filming on the series, and revealed that he's working with actors Colin Farrell and Rachel McAdams.

Springfield is no stranger to the small screen, starring in a host of series over the years, including the original "Battlestar Galactica," "The Rockford Files," "Californication," and a decades-long recurring role on "General Hospital." No word yet on just how big his "True Detective" role is, or who he's playing.
Season two of "True Detective," which also stars Taylor Kitsch, Vince Vaughn, and Kelly Reilly, is currently filming in California. An official premiere date has yet to be announced.
