The trailer for director Lars Von Trier's "Nymphomaniac" wasn't just deemed NSFW -- it was so sexually graphic that it was pulled from YouTube.
It seems Von Trier is going the opposite way for the movie's follow-up, "Nymphomaniac: Volume II," as the new trailer for it is completely SFW and only hints at what happens to Charlotte Gainsbourg's sex addict character.
The trailer is mostly a series of fleeting images -- someone packing a phone, Christian Slater looking at a tree, a car bursting into flames, Gainsbourg tied up, Shia LaBeouf punching a wall. There's still some suggestive language, but then the mood turns more, um, upbeat when "Burning Down the House" by the Talking Heads starts playing.
Hey, this is Von Trier -- it's gonna be weird.
"Nymphomaniac" also stars Stellan Skarsgård, Willem Dafoe, and Uma Thurman. "Volume I" is available on VOD in March, and in theaters March 21. "Volume II" arrives on VOD on April 3 and in theaters April 18.
