In case you didn't realize that "Mean Girls" is having a moment, what with its jewelry line and everything, this video proves that it's a perennial (millennial) favorite.
Model/musician Amber Rose, who claims to have been a "super nerd in high school," recruited a few friends to recreate the famous four-way phone scene from one of her favorite movies. The movie starred Lindsay Lohan as Cady Heron, the former nerd who's herded into popularity, Lacey Chabert as the neurotic Gretchen Wieners, Amanda Seyfried as the, uh, talented Karen Smith, and Rachel McAdams as the lead Mean Girl Regina George. The four-way phone call is a stand-out scene in an entire movie full of zingers. Plus, it's fun to reminisce about call waiting!
Rose plays Gretchen Wieners, although since she sports a beautifully shaved head she can't exactly hide anyone's secrets in her hair. Gingery Ed Sheeran phones it in as Cady, and musician Iggy Azalea represents Karen Smith, although we're not sure if she can fit her entire fist in her mouth. The best, though? The best is Waka Flocka Flame as the carb-craving ringleader Regina George. Yep, Waka Flocka Flame actually utters, "Boo, you whore!"
Interestingly enough, "Mean Girls" director Mark Waters was also behind the camera for the upcoming YA adaptation "Vampire Academy." Even better? "Heathers" scribe Daniel Waters wrote the adapted screenplay.
We have no idea if "Vampire Academy" will have the same teen sass as the aforementioned classics, but we'll find out when it hits theaters on February 7. Maybe.
