January is slowly winding down, but the countdown to the most prestigious ceremony -- the Oscars -- has just begun!
Jonah Hill, Bradley Cooper, Jared Leto, Barkhad Abdi, and Michael Fassbender each turned in incredible performances this year -- from a loose-cannon FBI agent to a transgender AIDS patient -- and each have rightfully earned Oscar nominations for Best Supporting Actor. Other than Abdi, the actors' costars were nominated for Best Actor or Actress, so it's tough to say these supporting stars "stole the spotlight," but wow were they good. Having won a slew of Best Supporting Actor awards already, Jared Leto is the favorite heading into Oscar night, but this race is still far from won.
