Oh, hey! Are you having a good day? Woke up with a smile on your face and sunshine in your heart? Well, the first trailer for "The Fault in Our Stars" has arrived, and you might want to watch this somewhere private so no one can see the tears leaking out of your face.
This adaptation of the crazy popular young adult novel by John Green stars Shailene Woodley as Hazel Grace Lancaster, a teen with cancer who's trying her damndest to stop an adorable dude named Augustus (Ansel Elgort) from falling in love with her, and vice versa. (They meet in a support group for teens with cancer; Gus is in remission.) Fortunately, she isn't successful. Unfortunately, well... Cancer.
This trailer gives us a peek at the dynamic between Hazel and Gus, plus their friend Isaac (Nat Wolff), Hazel's parents, (Laura Dern and Sam Trammell), and a few indicators of the tear-jerking to come.
One interesting tidbit is that the screenplay was adapted by Scott Neustadter. That's the same guy who penned the wonderful coming-of-age drama "The Spectacular Now," which starred Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller. Do yourself a favor and see it!
Check out the trailer, then watch some videos of puppies while you dry your tears.
"The Fault In Our Stars" opens on June 6, 2014.
