Women, get ready to "Lean In" at the movie theater.
Deadline reports that Sony Pictures is developing a film based on Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg's book, "Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead." Nell Scovell, who helped Sandberg write the book, will also pen the script.
The book addresses the inequalities women face in the workplace and Sandberg's advice on how to resolve them. The movie won't be a documentary nor a biopic about Sandberg; rather, it will be a "narrative film from the themes contained within the book."
Though the project is in the very earliest of stages (no director attached), we're sure quite a few Hollywood leading ladies would kill to play a whip-smart, fast-rising young executive who has to break some glass ceilings. Anyone else think Natalie Portman or Rachel McAdams would be perfect for this?
