Believing is at the heart of "Heaven Is For Real," an upcoming adaptation of Todd Burpo's bestselling Christian book.
The movie's first trailer was just released and outlines the uplifting story: Greg Kinnear and Kelly Reilly play parents of a young boy who has a near-death experience. After his miraculous recovery, the boy astonishes everybody by recounting his interactions with dead people, including his great-grandfather.
"Everything he talks about is impossible," Kinnear marvels. The father wants to believe what his son is saying, while the rest of their community treats him with suspicion and outright hostility.
"Heaven Is For Real" also stars Thomas Haden Church and Margo Martindale, and opens in theaters April 14. Check out the trailer above.
