More horrifying details about Paul Walker's untimely death have come to light after the Los Angeles County Coroner released its official autopsy report.
As detailed in the L.A. Times, the report confirmed that the "Fast & Furious" star's body was burned beyond recognition and so badly that his organs were not suitable for donation.
The car, a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT, was being driven by Walker's friend, Roger Rodas, and traveling more than 100 mph when it crashed into a pole. The impact was so strong that the report noted "the vehicle was almost split in half."
Neither man had drugs or alcohol in his system. Both were found in a supine position, indicating they were bracing for impact.
The coroner believes both Walker and Rodas, who co-owned an auto body shop, died immediately, though some soot was found in the actor's throat. Walker died of traumatic and thermal injuries, including a broken pelvis, ribs, and collar bone. Rodas suffered massive head trauma, with parts of his brain exposed.
The L.A. Times noted that the car has a history of being hard to control.
Just heartbreaking.
